MTS Music: Kathyann's Son

The first episode of Suga and Friendz is complete! Huge shout-out and thank you to @mtsmusiconly for being my first guest! This episode we talked about the release of his new EP: Kathyann’s Son(which is out on all streaming platforms, go cop it)! MTS shared his overall journey as a rapper and the importance of him displaying his artistry on this project. As this EP is dedicated to his mother(see “Momma”), he “had to do his thing” on it. Kathyann’s Son is also a representation of his love for his hometown, Laurelton Queens, NY. The smooth lyrical work and attention to diverse sounds is MTS’s way of continuing a tradition of artistry consistent with the culture of Queens(see “Blue Hef”).

As if the project couldn’t get anymore dynamic, the three features on the album are all from his really close friends(@books_229, @peakecity__tillz, @vega7theronin) providing their own unique lyrical and producing(see “Retro Barkley’s, PT. 2”) super powers. Together they are The Dream Team. The instrumentation and musicality of this album is top tier, sonically it’s stunning. MTS is the GOAT with hooks(see “Houston Sprewell and Camby”).
